I’m Mike Watson, your State Farm agent in Highland, Arkansas, although plenty of people around here still call me Coach Watson. Before becoming an agent, I spent years teaching and coaching. I enjoyed helping people understand what was in front of them and find the confidence to take their next step. That experience still shapes my approach today: listen first, explain things in plain language, and get to know what matters to the person sitting across from me.

For some people, that conversation starts with retirement and what the next chapter might look like. For others, it begins with a growing family, a new business, or questions about insurance they’ve had for years. Whatever brings you in, my team and I start by getting to know you—your priorities, what’s changing, and the questions on your mind.

At our Highland office, we help individuals, families, and business owners understand their auto, home, renters, life, and business insurance options. We serve Highland, Cherokee Village, Ash Flat, Hardy, and the surrounding communities. I’m also licensed in Texas and Missouri, extending our reach beyond Arkansas.

My connection to local schools didn’t end when I left the classroom. I still value opportunities to visit schools, speak with people, and stay connected to the families who help our communities grow. Being part of this community means staying involved—not just having an office here.

From my dad’s cattle farm to competing in rodeos, I learned the value of hard work and persistence from a very young age. Outside the office, I enjoy time with my wife, Lesha, our children and grandchildren, along with trout fishing, golf, and traveling.
